Mr. Manuel Brustenga founds IADA in Barcelona and starts the production of brake fluids for ENASA's Pegaso Barajas trucks
1961
Manufacture of the first antifreeze coolants begins
1964
ENASA approves the VIREX and IADA launches it on the market. This is a hydraulic fluid for power steering so advanced that it is still produced today
1968
IADA products are approved by major manufacturers such as Renault, Peugeot and Citroën
1975
The extensive range of IADA products continues to grow and add new families
1978
With a constant growth in sales, IADA moves to a new 600sqm factory in Granollers (Barcelona) that has the most modern industrial facilities
1979
The second generation of the family joins the company's management, in the figure of Mr. Emilio Brustenga, son of the founder and current CEO of the company
1983
IADA supplies its products as first equipment to national manufacturers such as Pegaso, Citroën, Chrysler, Renault, Talbot, Peugeot and Nissan Motor Ibérica
1984
The Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona) factory is inaugurated after a tragic fire in the old Granollers factory. With 1,600sqm, multiply by four the previous space to undertake new projects and continue growing
1986
The graphic image is redesigned to modernize it and adapt it to the market. Ives Zimmermann, from the Integral Design agency, was the creator of the mythical logo that is still fully valid today
1987
After the redesign of the graphic image, it is the turn of the 250cc, 500cc and 1L containers designed by André Ricard
1988
Following the liberalization of the commercialization of lubricants in Spain, IADA launches its first own range of lubricants for motor and gears
1989
The new facilities are inaugurated in Vilobí del Penedés (Barcelona) with more than 4,000sqm built. The new Technical Laboratory stands out with 200sqm and last generation equipment
1990
The revolutionary 2 and 5L plastic drums for motor oil, designed by André Ricard, are launched. In the shape of a tool and with side drainage, they place IADA at the forefront of the lubricant market
1992
Although since 1984 IADA had already participated in several International Fairs such as Automechanika or Equip Auto, this year Export Dept. was created. Only 10 years later, Export represents already more than 20% of sales
1993
IADA participates for the first time in Motortec Madrid, the benchmark fair for the sector in Spain and which will become an unmissable event on the company's calendar
1998
The 10th anniversary of the 1st IADA Commercial Convention in 1988 is celebrated
2002
To improve the service to our clients, a new 2,200sqm warehouse is built attached to the Vilobí factory, reaching 6,500sqm of built facilities
2006
Quality and the environment have always been a priority for IADA and this is corroborated by our ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015 certifications granted by DEKRA
2007
IADA celebrates its 50th anniversary in style with clients, suppliers, employees and friends in a great party during the Motortec Madrid Fair
2008
With the aim of improving the environment through the recovery and regeneration of 100% of used oils, IADA founded SIGPI together with 4 other partners
2012
To offset CO2 emissions and reduce its carbon footprint, IADA installs a 100kWh photovoltaic power generation plant, occupying more than 1,000sqm of the rooftops of the Vilobí del Penedés factory
2017
In order to keep up with the growing pace of manufacturing and sales, the warehouse is again expanded with another 1,400sqm warehouse, thus reaching a total of 8,000sqm installed industrial facilities
2018
IADA continues to innovate and launches the new 1L and 5L plastic drums, which are perfectly adapted to the latest generation of lubricants
2019
An automated packing, palletizing, shrinking and transport system is installed that, through the use of different robots, manages the traffic of materials between the manufacturing lines and the warehouse
