Kampenhout / Nottingham, 15 June 2026 – The Kemetyl Group, to which Kemetyl IADA belongs, has acquired the assets and brand of the British company Flow Chemicals, in a deal that strengthens its presence in the UK and expands its production capacity with a fifth manufacturing plant in Europe.
The acquisition forms part of Kemetyl’s growth strategy to establish itself as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of functional fluids and automotive chemicals. Thanks to this integration, the group gains additional production capacity, technical expertise and a deeper understanding of the UK market.
Flow Chemicals will be integrated into Kemetyl UK Ltd and will operate under the Kemetyl brand. To ensure business continuity, the founder of Flow Chemicals, Simon Newby, and his entire team will remain with the company.
According to Axel Van Ranst, CEO of Kemetyl Group, the deal is fully in line with the group’s expansion strategy and strengthens its European industrial network. Following the acquisition, Kemetyl will have five production plants in Jordbro (Sweden), Soest (the Netherlands), Kampenhout (Belgium), Vilobí del Penedès (Spain) and Nottingham (the UK), strengthening its ability to serve customers in the automotive, retail and industrial sectors across Europe and other international markets.
